LIGHT AEROPLANE CLUBS.
PROPOSAL AT HAMILTON. AN ENTHUSIASTIC MEETING. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. 3 HAMILTON, Wednesday. a enthusiastic meeting of those interested in the formation of a branch of the Auckland Aero Club was held at Hamilton this evening. Mr. W. J. King presided over an attendance of 70. Among those present were Captain D. Harkness, Major G. H. C. Cooper and Mr. Sinclair Mason, of the Auckland Club.
Major Cooper outlined the conditions under which the Auckland Club was established. Mr. Mason sounded a note'of w.iition on account of the expense which ! be incurred The Auckland Club . '.a,J send a machine to Hamilton and a j;i'ot could give instruction to members. He suggested that Hamilton enthusiasts should become associate members of the Auckland Club and the question of forming a separate branch should be deferred. After discussion a committee was formed, consisting of Messrs. P. Harkness, F. Gordon, M. A. Scott, R. G. Tappenden, E. N. Valintine and F. J. Blackmore, to report upon Mr, Mason's suggestion.
DECISION AT NAPIER. APPOINTMENT OF COMMITTEE. [BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] NAPIER. 'Wednesday. Following the example of other centres a well-attended public meeting at Napier to-night decided to form an aero club. A committee was appointed to obtain information regarding the acquisition of land for an aerodrome.
