DESTRUCTION BY FIRE.
RESULT OF A GALE. HOUSE AND CONTENTS LOST. [IIY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] OAMABU. Wednesday. A six-roomed houso at Livingstone, owned by Mr. J. MacKenzie, was destroyed by firo yesterday. The flames wero fanned by a gale. The outbreak was caused by tho wind breaking a kitchen window. The strong gusts then blew the firo from tho range. Nothing was saved. Tho houso was insured but not tho furniture. MIDNIGHT OUTBREAK. 11A1LWAY HOUSE DAMAGED. [IJV 'fEI.EGRAI'H.—OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] H A MILTON, Weduesd ay. A fire broke out shortly beforo midnight in a house occupied by Mr. F. Thorburn, in (ho railway settlement at Frankton. Tho Hamilton Brigade answered the call and found tho firo had broken out in a cupboard near tho fireplace in one of tho front rooms. Tho (lames were extinguished, but damage was done to partitions surrounding the cupboard.
