It wa3 decided to close the meetings for the season, tlio emergency committee to deal with any business requiring attention. Tho Whnngaroi Rugby management committeo decided at a final meeting last evening that ail applications for readmission to Rugby made by March 31 next will bo considered on their merits. The management committee of tho Whangarei Rugby Union met last evening. It was decided to chargo £3 Ca Bd, a third of the secretary's salary, to the insurance fund. Members said by doing this the union would bo adopting a similar to that already operating in the Northern Wairoa and other unions. Messrs. Collins, Cooto and Conaghan were appointed a committee to control the funds of the nnion for the purposes of liquidating liabilities and acting generally during the off-season. ... Members expressed anticipation of a very successful season next year, and said there was a likelihood of a particularly strong team being entered from Mangakahia.
