The Now Zealand Trotting Board, at its meeting to-day, received reports in connection with an application to have "the liorse Don Zoloclr removed from the schooling list. After discussion it was decided to ask the owner of the horso to nrrango with Mr. A Commons, stipendiary steward, to have nn exhibition start made with other horses on the Auckland track before a final decision was reached. The remarks made by Mr. W. E. Thompson, president of the New Brighton Trotting Club, in which ho said that the Board of (he New Zealand Trotting Association had Bought to defeat tho rules under which the club acted have been withdrawn by Mr. Thompson. This statement was made when the club was considering the FreA Advice case, and Mr. Thompson was called upon to appear before the board to show cause why he should not be dealt with under tho Utiles of Trotting. , As a. result of his withdrawal (lie board decided to-day to tako no furthor action in tlio matter.
