TE ATATU INSTITUTE.
The monthly meeting of the To Atatu Women's Institute was held last week. This being a members' meeting they took possession as soon as tho business formalities were completed. A most enjoyable programme was provided consisting of a pianoforte solo bv Mrs. Pauling; a dress parade, the dress to be made by the wearer and costing not more than 4s; ;i menu competition: an exhibition of Hindu work and cooking utensils, etc., by Miss Shepherd; recitation by Mrs. Walters. Afternoon tea followed and was much appreciated. Other items included an exhibition of war trophies and soldiers' work by Mrs. Adamson; and a humorous reading by Mrs. Brokenshire. Tho meeting closed with the singing of the National Anthem. A few days previously Mrs. Pat on, t.ira president, invited all the Women's Institute members to morning tea to meet Mrs. Dorman, the president of the Auckland Provincial Federation, and a most enjoyable time was spent.
