PRINCESS IN IRELAND.
WELCOMED BY PEOPLE. ULSTER VISIT THIS WEEK. Australian and N.Z. Press Association. LONDON. Oct. 7. Princess Mary and Viscount Lascelles wero warmly welcomed on their arrival at Dublin. They had breakfast with tho Governor-General, Mr. James McNeil, and Mrs. McNeil at tho Vice-regal Lodge, and later went in an all-steel bullet-proof motor-car, under a strong guard, to Portumna. Monsignor Joyce, parish priest of Portumna, was invited to dine last evening with Princess Mary and her husband. This morning they attended a harvestfestival servico at the Protestant church. A British official wireless message says tho littlo town was beflagged and the inhabitants assembled in largo numbers at tho castle gates and gave tho Princess and Lord Lascelles a great ovation. They will leave Portumna on Thursday for Ulster, where a great reception awaits them. They will spend two days in Belfast, whero they will be guests of the Duke of Abercorn, Governor of Northern Ireland. The Princess and her husband will make a tour of tho shipyards, tope-works and linen factories, attend ceremonies connected with the British Legion, the Girl Guides and the Boy Scouts and visit Lord Craigavon, Prime Minister of Northern Ireland at Stormont Castle.
