MOTOR PAINTERS FAIL.

NEW SYSTEM BLAMED. The introduction of the spray system of painting cars was one of the reasons given for tlio bankruptcy of Thomas Joseph Muidoon and Rupert John Mnldoon, motor painters, of 35, St. Paul Street, who were examined yesterday before the official assignee, Mr. G. N. .Morris. The schedule showed £2.14 owing to unsecured creditors. Assets 'totalled £159, leaving a deficiency of £55. In their statement, bankrupt said they started in the motor painting business in June, 1925, in Khyber Pass Road, having a capital of £3O. A good garage connection was worked up, and bankrupts ordered a couple of indents in paints and varnishes. The introduction of the spray system of painting cars and the lessening number of buses owing to the motor regulations caused business to drop off. They moved to cheaper premises in St. Paul Street in 1926. Business failed to improvo, in spite of every possible saving. After questioning bankrupts, (he official assignee said it could be advanced on their behalf that they had not waited until the position was hopeless.
