DIXIELAND.

A very pleasant evening was spent at Dixieland on Saturday night, when a large gathering of dancers was present. The Dixieland Dance Band played the - latest dance tunes with vigour and assisted materially toward the success of the evening. Tho many-coloured Chinese lanterns and gay decorations made a pleasing background for the dancing. Among those present were Miss J. Powell, who woro a dress of almond green embossed chenille, with a Spanish shawl; Miss Mimardiere, coral georgette trimmed with sequins; Miss Palmer, black satin with a flounced tulle skirt; Miss L enton. black laco over red; Miss Jor.es, primrose crepe de chine, with blue tulle bow at hip; Miss B. Stevenson, black sequinned lace over shell pink, with iudor collar; Miss C. Geo, coral petal georgette, with blue flower at shoulder j Mrs. Mandei, black taffeta trimmed with gold laco; Mrs. Myall, seal bluo accordion-pleated georgette trimmed with blue lace. Miss Eleanor Robinson was in black satin, with a flounced tullo skirt; Joyce Wcrnham beige georgette; Miss Alexander, gold lame with bluo tullo skirt; Miss Brown, cherry georgetto trimmed with silver lace; Miss G. White, beige georgette with frilled skirt; Miss Keen, black crepe do chino trimmed with lace, with uneven hem and shoulder spray; Miss Ashley, blue taffeta and tulle; Miss P. Vercoe, coral georgette trimmed with sequins; Miss G. Falconer, blue and silver brocade; Miss D. O'Donnoil, black laco arid georgette; Miss M. Ruddy, geranium georgette, shawl to tone; Mrs. J. Gendall, black laco frock with cerise shawl. Miss Robson, white ring velvet with uneven hem; Miss Howes, cyclamen embossed georgette; Miss T. Cox, cerise embossed georgetto; Miss P. Robson, chartreuse green georgette; Miss M. Peet, cyclamen georgetto trimmed with sequins; Miss Ilardio Neil, apricot velvet, with flame coloured shawl; Miss M. Webb, beige laco over flame. Miss N. Lennox, primrose crcpo dechinc trimmed with diamante; Mrs. Tindall, delphinium bluo beaded georgette; Miss Miller, can de nil georgette; Miss Wallace, silver lace over coral pink, petailed skirt and shoulder spray; Miss Jean Graham, black georgette, with rose at waist; Mrs. M. Walham, silver lace over coral, petallcd skirt; Miss I. Abdullah, black crcpo de chine cyclamen appliqued motifs; Miss D. Eraser, flame* crepe do chino with silver laco; Miss Horton, gold laco over red, old gold Spdnish shawl; Miss Nancy Miller, periwinkle' blue georgette, with flounced skirt; Miss Kathleen Miller, apricot crcpo do chino, embroidered in self colour. Mrs. A. W. Smith wore a dress of black sequinned georgetto; Miss C. Findlay, pink crepe de chine, and silver laco skirt; Mrs. Nesbit Sneddon, blue crepe do chine; Mrs. J. Grant, turquoise blue taffeta; Mrs. Jonas, black ecorp;etto trimmed with silver sequins; Miss B. Donald, blue embossed georgette; Miss C. Turner, pink crepe do chine and lace; Miss N. Mason, blue shot taffeta and gold lace; Miss L.
