Mr. Ramsay Mac-Donald, lias sent a protest to the Home Office asainsr, tho publication of what he describes as a secret and confidential police report on his own activities in 1916-21. Ihe Daily Express says that if it' was thought to repeat the incident of the Zinovieff letter the plot has completely miscarried. Thero must always bo a black mark fcgainst Mr. Mac Donald's name in that, ho gave comfort to an enemy instead of liis own country, but lot t ho coming election he kept clear of personalities, red herrings and Red letters.
