PROHIBITION CAMPAIGN.

POSITION IN AMERICA. Speaking to over 300 people in the Strand Theatre last evening on prohibition, Pastor A. W. Anderson, of Australia, who is visiting the Dominion in the interests of prohibition, said Americans everywhere spoko of the blessings of prohibition. In the United States the suggestion that prohibition was an evil was. laughed at. Generally the health of the peoplo of America was better than it had been for years. Thousands of lives had been saved and the death rate reduced considerably. Accidents had decreased and arrests for drunkenness had dropped by thousands si year. Trade had improved in a wonderful maimer, motor-car sales alone having increased by hundreds. Working men had set about building their homes, which had increased in numbers since tho prohibition era. Banks throughout the country were doing more business and the peicentage of depositors had gone up in an amazing manner. Charity societies were dealing with about 74 per cent, less cases of poverty. Everywhere there were signs of prosperity and smiling faces. ,
