LIBRARY AND BATHS. SEWERAGE PROPOSAL DEFERRED. [hy telegraph.—own con respondent.] TAURANGA, Sunday. At a special meeting of the Tanranga Borough Council proposals were considered for raising loans for a new public library, municipal baths and tho extension of the sewerage system. It was decided to take steps to raise a loan of £2300 for a library and rest-room, also a loan of £ISOO for a swimming pool in Fifth Avenue East, or adjacent to that locality. The engineer submitted a scheme providing for an extension of the sewerage system and a pumping station and outfall pipes to the Waikareao Estuary, at an estimated cost of £13,040, but the council decided to defer final action in this matter until the engineer has prepared an estimate to include certain additional areas.
