OBITUARY.
MRS. SUSAN SHEPHERD
The death of Mrs. Susan Shepherd, aged 83, occurred at licr residence at Te Atatu yesterday. Mrs. Shepherd was the elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Howe, late of Thames. . .Her husband died about a year ago. Of the five sons and five daughters, nine are living. Mr. W. 11. Shepherd, chairman of the Glen Eden Town Board, is the eldest son, the other sons being Mr. A. J. Shepherd, of Ic Awamutu, Mr. F. Shepherd, of Waiuku, Mr. J. Shepherd and Sir. W. Shepherd. The surviving 'daughters are Mrs. Garton, of Wanganui, Mrs. Coomer, of Now Plymouth, Mrs. Granhani, of To Atatu, and Miss Shepherd, of Te Atatu. Mrs. Shepherd is also survived by her brother, Mr. John liowe, of Thames, and sister, Mrs. R. E. Williams, of Remuera.
