An unexpected arrival at Auckland yesterday afterpoon was-the Japanese steamer Waipori Maru, which returned to port to tciplemsh her bunkers The vessel was recently sold by the Union Company and left Auckland last Tuesday morning for Newcastle to load, coal for Manila. Owing to strong head winds on the coast fhe vessel was only 170 miles from Auckland at 5 o'clock on Thursday evening. OMAN A AT HOKIANGA. The Lamb Bteamer Omana arrived .at Hokianga from Kaipara yesterday morning to complete loading timber for Australia. THE ATHOLL. The steamer Atholl is expected to complete unloading sugar from Java at Chelsea on Tuesday. On Wednesday morning she is to sail for Westport to replenish her bunkers. . SOUTHERN CROSS REPORTS. Wireless advice received from the Melanesiart Mission steamer Southern Cross slates she will roach Auckland early , on Monday morning, .The. vessel has been absent since May 4 in visiting the Molanesian stations in the South-weßt Pacific. TOPUA REPORTED. The Union Company's Island steamer Tofua left Suva yesterday in continuation of her voyage! to Tonga and Samoa. The vessel will return to Suva on August 28, and is due at Auokland on September 3. THE KANNA. The Kanna is due from Greymouth at 7 o'clock this morning and will berth at Prince's Wharf. After unloading her coal cargo she will proceed to Walpole Island, via Noumea, to load phosphates for New Plymouth, Timaru and Dunedin. THE PAPANUI. The Federal Line steamer Papanui is to sail for Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin at G. 30 this morning to complete unloading cargo from Eastern Canadian ports and New York. BENTON FROM OCEAN ISLAND. With 7000 tons of phosphates from Ocean Island, the International South American Steamship Company's steamer Benton is expected, to arrive about Tuesday. All the cargo will he unloaded at .Auckland. Henderson and Macfarlane, Limited, are the local agents. ULIMAROA LEAVES SYDNEY. Tho Huddart-Parker steamer Ulimaroa was despatched from Sydney for Wellington at mid-day yesterday witli passengers, mail and cargo, and is duo on Tuesday. She is the only Sydney passenger steamer arriving at or leaving Now Zealand next week, and will be despatched from Wellington on her return trip to Sydney next Friday. . THE PORT HUON. After being delayed at Napier by heavy rain tho Commonwealth and Dominion Lime motor-ship Port Huon was due at Waikokopu yesterday to continue loading, The vessel will also load at Gisborne and will then come to Auckland to complete her cargo. The Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Bo wen i 3 due from New Plymouth to-morrow morning. She will berth at Prince's Wharf to continue loading for London, Avonmoutli, Liverpool. and Glasgow. On Tuesday the vessel is to sail fur Gisborne. Heather, Roberton, Limited have received advice that tho Commonwealth and Dominion Line's motor-ship Port Dunedin is en route from London to New Zealand and will discharge at Lyttelton, Dunedin and Napier. The vessel will commence loading at Nanier for her Homeward voyage, and will then come to Auckland to continue loading'. THE MAUI POMARE. The Government steamer Maui Pomare is due fropi Apia and Niue Island at break to-morrow morning, and will berth at Central Wharf. The vessel was en route to Dimedin, Wellington and Lyttelton, but was diverted owing to her cargo of bananas being damaged by over-heating. Spedding, Limited, the local agents, advise the vessel will not continue her voyage to Southern ports, but will unload all the cargo at Auckland. At 11 o'clock next Wednesday morning she is to be despatched with passengers, mail and cargo for Norfolk Island. PASSENGERS ON CORINTHIC. L. D.
