HAMILTON HIGH SCHOOL.
THE NEED OF HOSTELS. ACTIVITIES OF THE BOARD. [BY TELEGRAM. —OWN CORIIESrONDENT.] HAMILTON, Monday. The awakening public interost in the Hamilton High School and in the need for boarding establishments for the institution is welcomed by Mr. C. L. MacDiarmid, chairman of -the Board of Governors of the school. Referring to the fact that except for au inadequate arrangement for accommodating a small number of girls no hostels had been established, Mr. MacDiarmid said, since 1919 the board had urged the necessity for boarding accommodation in Hamilton for country high school pupils. It had with difficulty and with no financial assistance from the department, maintained a small hostel for girls Two hostels, each with accommodation for 50 pupils, wero required. It was the desire of the board to convert the present school into a girls' school, with a hostel adjoining, and to build a new school and hostel for boys at Hamilton East.
