Tho engagement is announced of Mary May, younger daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. W. E. Budd, of Claudelands, to William Stuart, eldest son of Mrs. and the late Mr. E. Currie, of Waikino. Tho engagement is announced of Mariorio K. Knott, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Knott, of Napier, and Russell V. Roberts, of Wellington, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. C. V. Roberts, of Auckland. An engagement of New Zealand interest is that of Mr. Edmund Johnston Baldwin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Percy Baldwin, of Palmerston North, to Miss Phyllis Read Bloomfield, daughter of tha late Mr. George Bloomfield and Mrs. Bloomfield, of Auckland, states our London correspondent. Mr. Baldwin came fropn Wanganui Collegiate School and entered Wadham College, Oxford, m 1920. Ho is studying medicine. Mrs. Bloomfield has been living in England for several .years pasts
