The prospectus has been issued of a now company, entitled, Totalisators, Limited, which is being formed to purchase the British and Irish rights of Mr. G. A. Julius, the Sydney engineer, who invented the machine. The capital of the company is to be £250,000, and preferred shares at 10s each are to be issued. The consideration to be paid to the Australian company is £IOO,OOO in cash, plus a royalty at the rate of ono-eighth of one per cent, of the money passing through the machine. The Financial Times says the venture is necessarily speculative, even if the Control Board adopts it.
