MISHAP WITH PEA-RIFLE.
MAN SERIOUSLY WOUNDED.
AN ACCIDENTAL DISCHARGE.
While cleaning a pea-rifle on tho verandah of his home in Lansdowno Street, Bayswater, yesterday afternoon Mr. W. Motion was wounded in the body by a bullet. Tho mishap was cansed by the rifle being accidentally discharged. The muzzle of the gun was close to Mr. Motion's body and the flash burned his clothing. The injured man was removed immediately to tho Auckland Hospital, where an operation was performed in the evening. His condition is considered to bo serious.
