DISMISSAL OF WORKMEN. QUESTION OF RE-EMPLOYMENT. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TATJRANGA, Monday. In regard to tho notices of dismissal received by about 250 Public Works employees, consequent on the taking over of the East Coast railway line by the Railways Department, Mr. C. E. Macmillan, M.P., has received a telegram from the Prime Minister, in which Mr. Coates says he will have the question of re-em-ploying the men elsewhere fully gone into without delay.
