FOOTBALLERS INJURED.
FOUR PLAYERS IN HOSPITAL. Four football players were admitted to the Auckland Hospital as tho result of injuries received during matches on Saturday afternoon. Playing for St. Heliors Club against Otahuhu, at St. Heliers, a young Maori, To Paa, sustained a fracture of the jaw. His condition is not serious. m Severe head injuries were received by S. Studd. aged 21, of 4, Oliphant Street, Ponsonby, while playing football. After being treated by members of the St. John Ambulance Brigade he was removed to the hospital, and yesterday his condition showed slight improvement. Two youths, G. Bartram, of Brandon Street, Glen Eden, and Albert Laing, of 169, Victoria Road, Devonport, sustained fractures of the leg. Both are 19 years of age.
