EAST COAST RAILWAY.
HANDING OVER OF SECTION. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TATJRANGA, Friday. Sir W. G. Armstrong, Whit worth and Company, Ltd., contractors for the section of the East Coast Railway from the Wairoa River to Taliawai, fo-dav handed - * the line over to the Public Works Department. Trains will continue to run as at present, and it is expected that the lino to Tauranga will bo taken over by the Railway Department in a few weeks. The railway is being accorded excellent support by travellers and the general town and country communities between Waihi and Taneatua.
