The committee then adjourned. THE PUNEDIN MEETING. FINAL WORK AT WINGATUI. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] DUNEDIN, Friday. Wingatui tracks! presented a busy appearance this morning, when a large number of horses were on the scene, and their numerical strength suggests excellent prospects for good fields during 'he meeting. Most of the horses were restricted to strong pacing work or short sprints. Ronaki and Fairy Herald galloped six furlongs in 1.20 2-5, and shaped well. Both are good horses in soft going. Money Mine was always going more freely than Scion in a. sprint over half-a-mile. which occupied 545. King Sol was striding along better than Slrongbird over five furlongs in 1.8 3-5. Overhaul and Black Mint came away from Heather Lad at the end of a mile in 1.50. They left seven furlongs behind in 1.37, and six furlongs in 1.23. Overhaul appeared to win the gallop. Craigmoro went away from Cupidon in a school over two hurdles. Cupidon crossed another flight, but then stubbornly refused the next. Craigmore confirmed the first impression he made as a novice hurdler. Royal Game, who looks bright- and well, was restricted to half-pace work. King Balboa and Tip Tree reeled off five furlongs in 1.7 2-5, but they went a shorter course than those working near the trestles. 4 Bil'.o and Queen Balboa were responsible for a solid .six furlongs and covered the last four in 575. Heisler went over half a mile in 565. Gay Sonnet got through strong work and seems quite sound, although bandaged on her near foreleg.
