BENEFIT PERFORMANCE.
PREVENTION OF CRUELTY. At the* concert chamber'of the Town Hall this evening the Auckland Comedy Players will present J. Hastings Turner's delightful three-act comedy, "Lilies of the Field." in aid of the funds of the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. The production is under the personal direction of Miss Una Buddie, and the cast consists of Auckland's most, talented amateurs, who a few weeks ago in the same play met with so much praise from press and public. This comedy is bright, sparkling and full of smart and witty dialogue, while the comedy situations cannot fail to produce hearty laughter. Everything points to this evening's performance being a great artistic and financial success, and patrons can be assured of a splendid night's entertainment. The box plan arrangements are advertised.
