TE AWAMUTU ORGANISATION. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. | TE AWAMUTU. Friday. The second annual meeting, since its resuscitation, of the Te Awamutu Young Men's institute was held last evening, the president, Mr. J. Oliphant, presiding over a. good attendance of members. The financial statement showed a loss of 5s on the year's working, but assets total over £7OO. The election of officers resulted: —President, Mr. Selwyn Preston; senior vicepresident, Mr. C. A. Reilly; junior vicepresident, Mr. W. Ryan; committee. Messrs. J. Oliphant, XV. jjayne, F. mnlon, T. H. Davis and F. Herries; secretary and treasurer, Mr. A. F. Turrell; auditors, Messrs. Jourdain and McGivern; stewards, Messrs. F. Baker and W. Ryan. It was decided to nominate a team to compete at the Auckland provincial amateur championships. both boxing and wrestling, the representatives to be chosen by Messrs. W. Bayne (wrestling) and F. Baker (boxing). An eliminating tournament will probably be held in about a month.
