AUCKLAND STOCK EXCHANGE FAIR ACTIVITY YESTERDAY. Business was spread over a fair range of transactions on the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday. Inquiry was made for all classes of Government securities, offers in several instances being slightly below recent quotations. The only sale was in. Inscribed Stocks, 1933, 5£ per cent., which sold at tho ruling rate of £IOO 15s at both the first and second calls. In debentures I*iew Zealand Breweries changed hands at 235, a reduction of fivepence on the figure current last week. In banks Australian Banks of Commerce found a buyer at 35s 6d and Nationals of New Zealand were done at the current price of £7 ss. For New Zealands 60s 4d was paid at the late call, an advance of a penny on the price given on tho previous day. New South Wales were in strong request. Last week s sale price of £4B 10s was offered at the fust call and the figure was advanced to £4B 12s 6d and later to £4B 15s, without, however, drawing a response from holders. The only appreciable chango in insurance quotations was an advance of fourpence in offers for Nationals, which were inquired for at 15s 4d at the late call, sellers 15s Bd.

In loan and agency tho B preference issue of Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Co.'s had sale at 15s, an advance of sixpence. In shipping Huddart-Parkers were done at 46s 9d, compared with 47s 9d at the preceding sale a month ago. In miscellaneous Farmers' Fertilisers changed hands at 87s 6d, against 92s last week. Taranaki Oils had sale at tfs, a drop of a shilling on the preceding sale, Wilsons Cements, after selling at 39s 2d on Saturday, were done at 395.
