WOMEN AND SMOKING.

Sir —1 notice in your issue of Saturday Miss Maude Koyden's farewell message expresses her admiration for the splendid women aud child welfare movement of New Zealand, which will include the Karitane homes and the Plunket Society s work for the preservation of the young life of this land. While we thank Miss Royden for her good Wishes, the mother heart of New Zealand greatly deplores her example. Tinkling Cymbal.
