RTJMOUES OF ITS SAIE. CANADA'S ACQUIESCENCE. QUESTION IN PARLIAMENT. Australian Press Association —United Service (Received May 27, 5.5 p.m.) OTTAWA. May 56. The Prime Minister, Mr. W. L. Mackenzie King, was questioned in the House of Commons to-day about a report to the effect that the Pacific cable had been sold to the Eastern Extension Telegraph Company, and that Canada had acquiesced. In reply, Mr. King said he understood no conclusion had been reached, but he promised to give any information immediately it became available.
