GOLDEN WEDDING.
MR. AND MRS. B. CULLEN. The golden wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Cullen, of Waipu, was celebrated in the Maungaturoto Hall recently. A pleasing feature was the presence of the three bridesmaids of the original ceremony, Mrs. R. Hastie, of Mangawai. Mrs. Duncan Stewart, of Hakaru, and Mrs. W. Littin, of Kaiwaka. Guests to the number of over 200 were present at the wedding breakfast. The speakers included Mr. Harry Cullen, eldest brother of the bridegroom, who is 83, Mr. F. Cullen and the Rev. H. Bycroft. Over three hundred guests were present at a dance and concert in the evening. Mr. and Mrs. Cullen were the recipients of many handsome presents and congratulatory telegrams.
