THE THAMES CONSTITUENCY. LIBERAL PARTY'S INTERESTS. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.} THAMES. Sunday. Mr. A. J. Whiteside, of Thames, has intimated his intention of contesting the Thames seat at the next general election, , in the Liberal interests. Mr. Whiteside is a farmer at Whangamarino and has served on the Thames Borough Council and county school committees. This will be Mr. Whiteside's third attempt to capture the Thames seat. CHKISTCHURGH EAST SEAT. UNITED PARTY'S SELECTION. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) CHRISTCHURCH. Sunday. Mr. D. F. Dennehy has been selected as the United Party's candidate for the Cluistchurch East seat. Mr. Dennehy was a Nationalist candidate against Mr. H. T. ' Armstrong, M.P., at the last general election.
