ALTERATIONS TO SCHOOLS.

EXTENDING ACCOMMODATION GRANT EXPECTED SHORTLY. Savage, to investigate the position and to confer with the board's officers. Measures for alterations and additions to some 20 schools have been agreed upon, and the board expects to receive advice of a Government grant within the next few days, whereupon the work wil bo commenced immediately.
