BOXING AT HASTINGS.
MELTON DEFEATS HARLEY. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] NAPIER, Friday. Billy Melton, New South Wales, 9st., knocked out Eric Harley, Victoria, 9st. lib., in a boxing contest at Hastings toniglTt, in the ninth round. The bout' was scheduled to go 15 rounds. Harley fought pluckily, but hopelessly. Melton maintained a hard pace from the start and won every round.
