PILLAGE OF BUTTER.
TRANSIT IN BRITAIN. NEW ZEALAND PRODUCT. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] MERCURY BAY, Thursday. Notification that the company's buttet was being subject to pillage in Britain was received from the Department of Agriculture at a meeting of the Mercury Bay Dairy Company. The advice stated that boxes leaving London at full weight, when weighed again in Edinburgh, were found to bo short. A careful watch was being kept with a view of bringing the perpetrators to book.
