RICHMOND CRUISING CLUB. THREE GENERAL HANDICAPS. The Richmond Cruising Club will hold three general handicaps to-morrow afternoon for classes H. L. and N, V and and T and Y. All events will start off the Ponsonby Wharf and finish up the harbour off Birkdale Wharf. Mr. J. Longbottom will act as starter, and Mr. T. L. Thompson as timekeeper and judge. The three-flag system of starting will be employed. The course for all races is from startine line between the Ponsonby Wharf and a marked boat, north-west. The entries and handicaps are as follows: H. L. and N Classes, to start at 2.50. Starlight, scr: Starlorh. Spray, 2m: Why Not. Marere, 8m; Maire, Kokiri. 10m; Winifred. Lovelieht, Lomai. 11m; Starlight 11., 18m; Matariki, 19m. V and S Classes, to start at 2.ss.—Mistral, scr; Surprise, lm: Wild Wave. Leverette. 6m: Sun, 8m; Atangatai. Sea Sleigh. Manawai. 10m; Tulip. Spindrift, 16m; Phyllis. 22m. T and Y Classes, to start at 3 p.m.—Joan, Nsaio. scr; Romp. 3m; Speedwell. 4m: Manu, 10m; Murex. 11m. UPTON CUP CONTEST. The Ponsonby Cruising Club has decided that Valeria, representing the Akarana Yacht Club, and Varuna. representing the Manukau Cruising Club, which dead-heated for the Lipton Cup. shall each hold the trophy for six months. A champion flag will also be awarded to each boa.t.
