GOOD WORK AT THAMES. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] THAMES, Thursday. At the annual moeting of the council of the Thames School of Mines, the president, Mr. T. W. Rhodes, M.P., expressed appreciation of the work of the director, Mr. H. Crawford, in maintaining a high standard of teaching.
The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr. Henry Lowe; vicepresident, Mr. Will Price; patron, Mr. T. W. Rhodes; council, Rev. J. Milne and Messrs. J. .Tudd, S. G. Baker, P. L. Jenkin, H. R. Denize, W. White and W. Wilson. Prizes were awarded as follows: —President's medal, H. E. Hoyle; Albert Bruce Memorial, Ivan Clarkson; vice-president's medal, (1. E. Lambert.
