KINDERGARTEN WORK.

AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION. THE ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The annual meeting of the Auckland Kindergarten Association was held yesterday, the president, Mr. G. Brownlee, presiding. In presenting the report and balancesheet, which were summarised in yesterday's Heiiald, the president congiatulated the ladies of the various kindergarten committees, who had been responsible for the success of the association s work. Regarding the present students who were teaching under the association, the president urged that they should pass the Government examination in addition to the association's test. By doing so they could attend the Training College and so enter a larger field of work. Many of the present students did not know what they were facing and the position should be made clear to them, as the scope -of kindergarten work was strictly limited. The election of officers resulted: —Patroness, Lady Alice Fcrgusson; president, Mr. J. Stanton j vice-presidents, Mrs. E. H B. Milsorn arid Mr. C. J. Ellerbeck; council, ladies, Mrs. R. M.
