ROAD BOARD ELECTIONS.
MOUNT ROSKILL CONTEST. TOTAL OF TWENTY CANDIDATES. Very keen interest is being evinced in the election of the Mount Roskill Road Board on May 5, and 20 nominations have been received for the nine seats.
Seven of the present members, Messrs. A. St. C- Belcher, T. Davies, E. W. Foote, E. F. Jones, W. W. Kerr, J. R. Robertson and L. A. Tozer, are seeking re-election. The other candidates are Messrs. J. 11. Cooper, T. Cummack, J. Donald, S. I. Goodall, E. J. Hamlet, E. J. Herd, J. Patterson, E. A. Pearce, A. Roberts, S. Scarborough, W. R. Swales, G. E. Tansley and F. Ward. Mr. Tansley was for many years chairman of the board.
