FARM SCHOOL PROPOSAL
SITE IN HAWKE'S BAY. • INSPECTION BY MINISTER. _______ • [BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WAIPAWA, Monday. The Minister of Agriculture, Hon. Ou J,. Hawkcn, accompanied by Dr. C. J< Reakes, "Director-General of Agriculture visited the Smedley Estate at the weekend. The property was bequeathed to the Government for the purpose of an agricol* tural college.
The Minister expresed himself as agreeably surprised at the ' productiveness at the estate and said that as soon as tha advisory board was set up the Government would be able to do something in the direction of carrying out the testator's wishes by establishing a farm school.
