LONDON BUTTER MARKET.
RENEWED ACTIVITY EXPECTED The London butter market is quietly firm after the abnormal activity on Thursday, and renewed demand is expected, according to advice by cable, dated April 21, received yesterday by Amalgamated Dairies, Limited. Quotations are: Finest butter, 170s per cwt.; first grade, 1665; unsalted, 1765. Danish, spot, 180s; f.0.b., 1735. Deliveries of New Zealand butter last week were 1214 tons, 5726 tons remaining in store. Retail prices are: New Zealand, Is 8d; Danish, Is 9d. Cheese is quoted at 96s to 975, with retail prices unchanged. The market is quietly steady.
