AFTER THREE YEARS.
ADMISSION OF OFFENCE. TOBACCONIST'S SHOP ROBBED. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] HAMILTON, Monday. The breaking and entering of a tobacconist's shop in Ward Street, Hamilton, ip February, 1925, and the theft of tobacco and cigarettes, and 8s in money, was explained in the Hamilton Magistrate's Court to-day, when a young man, Leonard George Coley, pleaded guilty to the offence.
Evidence was given by James Andrew Emerson that his premises were broken into on February 21, 1925, and goods and money to the value of £3 10s 4d were stolen. Witness did not know the accused.
Acting-Detective Kearney, of Wellington, said accused made a statement admitting the offence. Accused was at present serving a sentence. Accused was committed to the Supreme Court, Wellington, for sentence.'
