SILVER WEDDING.

A social evening was given by Mr. and Mrs W. T. Cox, of Sunny Park, Manurewa, on Saturday, April 7, in the Town Hall to celebrate their silver wedding. The stage was decorated with Easter daisies, and there were about 70 guests present, who were received bv Mr. ana Mrs. Cox. Mr. Fenton presided. Musical items were contributed by Mr. Ivevillo Walker, Mrs. Denize, Mrs. Silclier, Miss Mavis Gibbs, Mr. Sexton, Mr. Burton, and Messrs. Eric and Neville Walker. The latest wireless instrument was played by Mr. Christopher and a competition was held, of which Mr. M. Cirainger was the winner. On behalf of the Ladies Guild Mrs. Griffin presented Mrs, Cox with a pair of silver salad servers and Mrs. H. Grey gave her a bouquet,. Other gifts were also made to Mr. and Mrs. Cox. Congratulations upon the attainment of their silver wedding were expressed by the Lev. J W. Griffin. Supper and the singing of the Doxology brought a pleasant evening to a close.
