CRUSHED AGAINST TREE.
FARMER CAUGHT BY LORRY.
DEATH FOLLOWS IN HOSPITAL
[B7 TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] HAMILTON. Tuesday. The death, following an accident, occurred ' at the Waikato Hospital to-day of Mr. Thomas Tapp, a farmer, of Rotowajo, aged 68. On Saturday Mr. Tapp was standing near a tree on his farm at WaikokoW, near Rotowaro, when a motor-lorry, wh'ch had been left unattended on an incline about, a chain away, ran backwards a'fld pinned Mr. Tapp against the tree. Help was; at hand immediately and when MrTapp was released it was found that Ins right leg had been badly crushed below ♦.he knee. He was conveyed to hospital and the injured limb amputated, but tb» shock proved ton severe and he died early, this afternoon. Mr. Tapp leavc3 a widow and an adult family.
