LORRY AND CAR COLLIDE.
MAORI SERIOUSLY INJURED.
FRACTURE OF THE SKULL.
[BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN COB RESPONDENT.] OPOTIKI, Friday.
A collision occurred between a motorlorry and a light private car on the "Waioeka Road this evening, and serious injuries were sustained by a Maori named Johnny, aged about 28, who »was on the lorry. He was conveyed to hospital suffering from a fracture of the skull. His condition is reported as being very critical.
The lorry was extensively damaged, but the car escaped lightly.
