DANCING.

A feature of thia evening's programme at Dixieland Cabaret; will be an exhibition of the Yale Blues and Black Bottom by Mr. Clyde Howley, leader of Dixieland's ■ Famous Internationals, and Mtfa. Howley. "My Blue Heaven." the latest fox-trot, will be among the many novel numbers by the popular orchestra. Dancing will continue until midnight, under the excellent conditions for which the cabaret is noted. The extensive dancing floor and the cool atmosphere always appeal to keen dancers, while dainty suppers and light refreshments add just the .finishing touch to the evening's enjoyment. This evening will mark the reopening for the 1928 seasGn of the popular ClickClack Cabaret, Newmarket, which will in future be under the management of Mr. G- Thorpe, until lately manager of the Palais de Dance, St. Kilda, Melbourne. George Shorland and his Sylvian# will play the latest music, including the Yale Blues. Dancing will continue until midnight, and balloons and all kinds of novelties will help to lend a festive air to the evening's enjoyment. The cabaret will in future be open on Tuesday and Thursday evenings in addition to Saturday. The Parisian Dance Club will reopen this evening in the Society of Arts Hall, Kitchener Street, when a carnival on mn ambitious scale will be held. A large supply of favours will be distributed and a nappy atmosphere will be provided with new novelties, carnival hats and a display of new American cabaret scenery. The Orpheans, under the baton of Mr. Laurie Paddi, will contribute a special programme of syncopated music, featuring the fox-trot version of the overture, "Kamennoi Ostro." Dancing 1 may be enjoyed this evening at the Milford Pavilion; Milford Beach, no charge being made. Music will be supplied by a panatrope. To-morrow evening the Tdkapuna Municipal Band will give an attractive programme of hand music. A special bus service has been arranged. The Felix Dance Club will hold its usual dance at the Orange Hall this evening. Patrons will enjoy the usual excellent facilities.
