BRITISH LABOUR PROPOSALS.
ADVANCES FOR DEVELOPMENT. A. and N.Z.-Sun. LONDON, March 7. A, bill sponsored by Mr. R. G. Wallhead, Labour member for Merthyr Tydvil, and nine othei- Labour members, has been introduced into the House of Commons. The bill is designed to prevent unemployment. It proposes the setting up of a National Board, to consist of 11 members from the Cabinet and departmental heads, who would make advances from a fund of £10,000,000 granted every year, to be expended in Britain or elsewhere in the Empire, to promote developmental employment. including land, mines and roads.
