CRICKET.
AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION. NO GRADE GAMES TO-MORROW. TEAMS IN SUBURBAN MATCHES. There will be no grade competition matches played under the control of the Auckland Cricket Association to-morrow on account of the representative match between Australia and Auckland at Eden Park. After an interval of two weeks, owing to the Domain being used for a sports meeting, the senior grade matches under the control of the Auckland Suburban Cricket Association will be resumed to-morrow, when the fourth series in the second round will be concluded. Considerable interest is being taken in the game between the Harbour Board A and B teams. The latter side in its first innings- compiled 183, and the A team, which leads in the comr>etition, has lost two wickets for 83. The colts have good bowlers, and an interesting game can be expected. Glen Eden will continue its first innings against Ponsonby, which knocked up 252 in its first strike. Green Lane has lost five wickets for 113 against Ellerslie, whose first inning 3 totalled 266. The Southland-Otago cricket match, which wan continued to-day in perfect weather, resulted in a draw. Otago increased its overnight score to 323. H. C. Alloo scoring 146. The visitors occupied the wickets practically all day and gave an uninspiring display. With 20 minutes left for play Southland went in again and scored 60 runs for the loss of one wicket. In the first innings Southland made 304.
