"CONVERSION" OF CAR.
[by telegraph.—own correspondent.] OPOTIKI, Thursday.
In the Opotiki Police Court this morning before Justices, Dan Taukamo was charged that he unlawfully converted to his use a motor-car valued at £125, the property of J, Beaver, Woodlands. Accused was fined £2 10s, in default seven days' imprisonment. The car was taken from King Street on show night and was afterwards found badly damaged on the side of the road.
