ATTEMPTED SUICIDE.
UNEMPLOYED MAN'S ACT. None the worse for his attempt to drown himself, Jeffrey Cope, who was rescued from the harbour by the crew of tho ferry steamer Makora on Wednesday, pleaded guilty to attempted suicido in the Police Court yesterday. Tho as3istant-city missioner 'said accused was out of work. He had a wife and three children. They would bo provided for, and an attempt would be made to find employment for accused, The magistrate, Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M., convicted accused and ordered him to come up for sentence if called upon.
