NEW RULE FOR COUNTIES. APPLICATION TO DOMINIONS. it (Received February 23, 8.5 p.m.) A. and N.Z.-Sun. ' LONDON. Feb. 22. The Advisory Committee for the county cricket championship has adopted an addition to Rule 11 of the rules of county cricket. The addition reads: "A British Dominion or State shall, for the purposes of this rule, be regarded aS a county." The addition was made after obtaining the consent of the overseas governing bodies. * Rule 11 of the Rules of County Cricket states that a cricketer of one county who wishes to qualify for another county must obtain the former's written consent before going to reside in the latter; and that a county wishing to engage a cricketer from another. county must give written notice to the latter before negotiating with the player. A cricketer who wishes to' play for the county of his birth must give notice to the county for which he has played by residence, if he intends to leave it.
