OPTOMETRISTS TO MEET.
INSTITUTE CONFERENCE. OPENING TO-MORROW. The seventh annnal conference of the New Zealand Institute of Optometrists will open at Auckland to-morrow morning. Some 20 delegates from the four chief centres of the Dominion are expected to be present. The visitors will be welcomed by the acting-chairman of the Auckland Association, Mr. C. Martin, and the Mayor, Mr. G. Baildon, will address the conference. The president, Mr. H. S. Gilberd, will deliver his presidential address, and the remainder of the day will be occupied with the presentation of reports and consideration of educational matters. On Wednesday the visitors will be taken for a motor-car trip to the Waitakere Ranges by members of the Auckland branch, and a social entertainment will be held in the evening. The conference will conclude on Thursday with the eleution of officers and a demonstration of sight-testing.
