PROHIBITION IN AUSTRALIA. ENGLISH PAPER'S APPROVAL. A. and N.Z. LONDON, Jan. "1. The Morning Post says it approves the laws in New South Wales and Victoria which niß.ke gambling after sunset . illegal. The paper says that tin bare racing cannot be classed as a true sport, and certainly it is responsible for demoralisation which the gambling curfew may keep within limits.. Nevertheless it hopes that tbo Australian example will not excite Dora (Defence of the Realm Act) to fresh and frivolous demonstrations by a paternal Government.
