BAY OF ISLANDS SEAT.
PETITION TO MR. GROUNDS. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] KAITAIA, Tuesday. A petition, signed by a number of the electors of Bay of Islands, was presented to Mr. W. Grounds at Broadwood. yesterday, asking that he should contest the seat at the general election. The petition was presented by Mr. Kushworth and Mr. J. W. Jones, of the Farmers' Union. Mr. Grounds promised to give liis decision in a few days.
